The Site Reliability Engineer is part of a team that’s dedicated to improving both client satisfaction and internal functionality of resources. The SRE must have a proactive mindset that is always looking for ways to improve our products and take GuestTek to the next level.

You will be an integral part of system automation, security enforcement, security audits, unifying data sources, identifying and rectifying weakness, product development from scratch, and much more. With a positive mindset, you are constantly looking for areas of improvement and implementing the solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design and implementation of new systems and architecture.
• Developing new tools to improve security, efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction.
• Audit and monitoring of customer and production networks.
• Enhance the monitoring and efficiency of customer and company networks.
• Improve efficiency and integrity through automation.
• Engage with other departments to learn and recommend where we can provide value to the customer and company.
• Compose documentation for both team members and end-users.
• Respond to events for systems directly under SRE control.
• Participate and help in solving problems.
• Expect the unexpected.
• Attend departmental meetings and briefings as required

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary certificate or degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good understanding of networking protocols and concepts.
• Basic scripting/programming capabilities.
• SQL & Python
• Working Knowledge of Linux based operating systems and management.
